This is the third course in our Parent/Tutor/Teacher Program. As is true of all the courses in this program, you will need the book Poor Cheated Little Johnny to do this course.
Every nation establishes standards for education. These standards are incredibly destructive of the student and of his potential.
In this course, you'll learn about national standards, what they are, and why they don't work. You'll also learn how to establish personal standards for education for your student that will allow him to truly succeed at his studies and at life. These standards run the gamut, covering areas we sometimes don't consider carefully when deciding how to educate our children. Such topics as the student's workspace, the use of homework, and the subjects to be studied, are all covered.
National standards are insidious. We are told that "experts" generate them, and that they work. This is a lie, as you may already know from the number of drop outs from public education in your city.
We can do better, and it starts with an understanding that no standard can be applied across the board. Each student is unique, and requires his own goals, methods, and standards if he is to truly succeed at receiving a useful and desirable education. How to do this? The course walks you through the development of standards for each individual student, step-by-step and idea by idea.
