ARTICLES ABOUT LOWER AND UPPER SCHOOL

Here you will find articles specifically written to answer questions about our Lower School (ages 9-10) and Upper School (ages 11-adult) programs. 

These articles were authored by Steven David Horwich over the years that the curricula was developed, to answer questions posed by parents and educators.  Steven has been an educator for over 35 years, and has taught on the University level, as well as privately, at private and public schools.  These articles, authored during the years that Connect The Thoughts was developed, answer many key questions that parents and educators had about the curricula.  They also provide the reader a more thorough sense of the approach this curricula takes.

Please note that until August 2010, our Curricula for ages 5-8 was called 1st Step.  This curricula is still sold as 1st Step in some places, but on our site it has been completely integrated in with Connect The Thoughts, as it was always intended to be.  You may see references to 1st Step in various of the articles.

These articles are only one way to discover the curricula, its methods and design.  Throughout this site you will find many videos.  Each video explains a certian level of the curricula, or a certain subject and how it is taught.  There are descriptions of each course we offer, as well as samples of every course.  We hope that you'll find our site of real use.
