ELEMENTARY SCIENCE
Basic scientific ideas are presented and explored by the
student. We are a secular curricula, and our science is
secular. No religion is intorduced in our science
courses - but no religion is 'attacked", as we are a
religion-friendly core curricula.
To find out a lot more about our Elementary Science program,
please watch the video found at the top of this page.
The methods used to teach
Science
and
History
courses are identical.
Science
should be done two times a week, and each semester will
consist of multiple courses to be done in sequence. In
example, the first semester consists of three courses,
dealing with the ability to observe, to determine the
difference between fact and opinion, and the nature of cause
and effect, and more. These are bottom-line understandings
one must have to start to learn modern science. The
exercises are fun and creative, and keep the student active.
Later semesters cover specific areas of science such
as Earth Sciences, Biology, and simple Physics and
Astronomy.
All courses are PDFs and can be instantly downloaded upon purchase!
Science for ages 7-8. How do scientists discover the truths of the physical universe? What tools do they use? What do they measure, and how?
Science for ages 7-8. The student extends their understanding of measurements and how science uses them to create categories and so better understand the universe.
The student ages 7-8 learns about tectonics and tectonic plates, types of rock, volcanoes, islands, continents, earthquakes, ice ages, pollution, and the ways our planet is put together.
Hands-on Earth Sciences for ages 7-8, and those developing literacy. The first half of the course covers the Earth's waters - its oceans, lakes, rivers, underground waters, currents, hurricanes, tidal waves and tsunamis, and how these impact life and weather on our planet. Part two covers our atmosphere. What is air, how did it come to be. Weather is explored in detail.
In this course, the student age 7-8 has biology carefully defined. Then, what life is, is defined. Many lessons follow explaining and demonstrating what mammals and birds are, and how they live their lives.
For ages 7-8. This course covers reptiles, amphibians, fish, insects, microscopic life, and the Plant Kingdom. It describes how Earth's various living things interact and rely on each other.
A massive course that covers what our sun is, the eight planets (and poor Pluto), moons, asteroids, comets, the Kuiper Belt and Oort Cloud, and other things found in our solar system, along with what a galaxy is, and what a universe is.
Basic physics for ages 7-8, in a hands-on approach that will engage the student, have them looking seriously at how this universe functions and how it affects them.
